Things to Read to Help Slay Your Day: 11/24/2018
Hope you’ve been able to take advantage of Black Friday sales without getting a black eye at your local Walmart.
LOL.
I decided to stay in and take advantage of a few digital products. Note: It’s nice when you can purchase a product without having to travel anywhere and have it delivered to you through email.
Ah. The benefits of the internet.
But. If you decided to stay in like me and aren’t busy enjoying any of your new purchases – here are a few recommended resources to check out!
Enjoy 😛
Kelly Starrett on Building the Mobility Wod Empire – This is an awesome podcast Mike Robertson did with Kelly Starrett and would recommend any aspiring health and fitness entrepreneurs listen to this. Kelly shares his struggles when he first started on the internet and how he managed to improve through consistency. Also, Kelly shares a great soundbite, which he states –“strength and conditioning is going to be the salvation towards population health”. Couldn’t agree more.
Discerning and Alleviating Back Pain with Dr. Stuart McGill – I think it’s become a habit to listen to almost every Dr. Stuart McGill interview. I learn something new each podcast. Robbie Bourke did a great job interviewing Dr. McGill in this podcast and Dr. McGill’s response to Robbie’s question about where future areas of spine research may be warranted was great.
The Ultimate Off-Season Training Manual – An older product by Eric Cressey, but a great one to understand how to program for an athlete’s offseason and in-season training. As a part of Eric’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale, it’s 25% off. I read through this product in one day and the biggest takeaway for me was the understanding the differences in programming for a spring-efficient athlete, strength-efficient athlete and a strength/spring-efficient athlete.
