2018: Year in Review (And What’s in Store for 2019)

With 2018 winding down, I’m using this blog post to direct you to some of the most popular content of the past 12 months at remisovran.com. We will start with the most popular articles of the year and move to videos; these are the pieces that received the most traffic, according to my hosting statistics and YouTube Analytics.

ARTICLE STATS

In 2018, we published 43 articles. 42 written by yours truly and 1 guest post from Brad Krause, creator of SelfCaring.info. Here are the top 5 articles from 2018:

1. Things You Need to Know About Swimming and Low Back Pain – Almost everyone with low back pain attempts swimming. Sometimes it goes well, other times it doesn’t. I can tell you that if you’re not careful with swimming, you could make your back issues worse.

2. 7 Things I’ve Learned from Training Clients with Low Back Pain – Having worked with clients that have low back pain for a few years now – there is a lot I’ve learned.

3. What I’ve Learned From My Experience Dealing with Facet Joint Osteoarthrosis – Having multiple low back issues has made me a much better strength coach to date.

4. 4 Reasons Why You Should Never Foam Roll the Low Back – After foam rolling my low back and having my back pain trigger (plus hearing Dr. McGill’s thoughts on foam rolling the low back) – I don’t think anyone should foam roll the low back. People are better off seeing a skilled manual therapist.

5. Not Everyone is Made to Squat Ass to Grass – Not everyone has the anatomy to squat deep safely. People that squat deep with butt wink are asking for trouble.

What’s to Come in 2019?

More Content. I’m going to stay consistent with YouTube channel and blog, but I plan to focus on Instagram for 2019. I’ve been talking about posting on Instagram for a few years, and I’ve finally got around to putting out quality content there. If you’re wondering where I’m going to spending a lot of my time – I’d suggest you keep a close eye on my Instagram page

Also, in 2018 I revamped my online coaching service, and it’s got some excellent reviews. My clients have been pleased with the coaching service, and some have gone so far to donate extra cash based on their results. Very exciting. For 2019, I plan to continue to grow my online coaching platform and perhaps had a few new exciting features 🙂

I should mention too that I did hire a web designer to give my website a redesign. The redesign has been well received. But I still plan on perhaps tweaking the website to make it a bit more user-friendly.

Anyway! 2019 is going to be a hectic year. Lots of work to do, and I’m pumped to continue the journey!

I wish you a joyous and productive New Year.

May your 2019 be filled with self-improvement in every direction you want it to go in.

Salute,

Remi Sovran
