Is Sitting Functional when it comes to athletic training? For the most part, sitting or any exercise that involves sitting isn’t very functional when it comes to training athletes. Think of it, when is an athlete ever sitting during there sport? In most instances, they aren’t. Mind you, there is the odd sport that does involve sitting, but when you think of basketball, hockey, soccer, football, or baseball, none of them involve playing their sport sitting. Therefore, as a coach, trainer or athlete, you may want to consider this the next time you prepare an exercise program!
